Ken Whinfrey has kindly passed to us a script written in 1947 by his grandfather Charles (Charlie) Edward Whinfrey

The document "This is a summary of my life's experiences and the things I can remember at the age of 64 years and 8 months" contains a number of personal tales, but also recollections that are likely to be of historical interest. Ken is not sure what happened to the original script but a typed version was made many years ago for circulation within the immediate family and this copy is based on that.

Charles or "Charlie" Whinfrey appears together with Ken's father George in many of the photos associated with in particular the Jubilee Brass band and the choir of St Mary's Church.
