USE OF ARCHIVE MATERIALS
members of the Society and others interested in the local
history of Tickhill are welcome to study or examine archive
materials. Many of the items are old and irreplaceable.
Therefore, in order to minimise loss or damage, some simple
formalities must be observed.
Items in the archives can be examined by arrangement on Library
and cannot be taken away from the Library.
list of available materials will be kept in the Library, and the
list can be seen on request.
A list of materials is also
shown on the website pages which follow.
Anyone wishing to view the archive material is asked to complete a request form
(available in the Library) for
the materials they wish to study. Arrangements will then be made
for them to come into the reading room.
For those who do not live locally but who will wish to make
arrangements in advance of travelling to Tickhill, please
contact us by email by clicking
present the most likely times are Tues p.m and Thurs. a.m.
Unfortunately, viewing times are restricted to these times
because of the availability of the Library (its rooms are used
for many functions) and the availability of volunteers to help
with the access to the archive materials.
